Dunkelweizen style 5.4% alcohol. Hallertau, Perle, Magnum hops. The term Weisse (white) describes bottled beers with sediment (unfiltered) although Weizen (wheat) is also used. Both are synonyms in Bavaria and refer to wheat beers. Weihenstephan adds the term Hefe (yeast) to the name of his wheat beer. and dunkel with which it is designated when they are dark. It is the dark version of the Hefe Weiss: toasty and cloudy in appearance, due to the combination of yeast and the use of wheat in the production and roasted barley malt. It surprises with its strength due to its high CO2 content, due to the second fermentation in the bottle. Its abundant foam remains firm in the tall glass, releasing the aromas little by little. Its flavor shows the roasting of the malt, without losing the typical taste of wheat, which makes it easy to digest. It is recommended for combination with roasts, all kinds of poultry and small game meat.
