Duvel traditionally brews beers with two varieties of hops. In Duvel Tripel Hop beer a third variety is selected. Beer lovers continue to be positively surprised by the final flavor profile of this beer. Stirring three varieties of hops instead of two yields a new hop aroma and increased bitterness. Sorachi Ace enriches Duvel's range of typical flavors with fresh citrus and mint notes. By applying the "dry hopping" technique, in which Sorachi Ace hops are added at a later stage of the brewing process, hop aromas are much more present in the beer final. This increased aromatic intensity should also be supported by a more sustained smooth, resulting in a final alcohol percentage of 9.5%. By using three instead of two varieties of hops to brew, we get additional aromas and increased bitterness. Fresh and citrus notes.
